Dear Parents
Wow, what a busy time it has been over the term 1 School Holidays! A lovely new bathroom complete with shower, also marmoleum on the floor and part way up the walls. This has certainly made the kindy a more quieter and enjoyable environment for your children and the teachers too. Thank you to Esther Van der Voorn and Sym Gardiner who have been overlooking this project.
This term we are focusing on friendships and the peer learning that goes along with this. Also what it is like to be a good role model and being part of a caring community at Grace Kindy.
We will be sending home our morning children’s profile books for parents to view and make comments about about the next few weeks. Also a chance for you to express how you see your child is developing and to answer any questions you may have. We will ‘touch base’ with you and incorporate your feedback into our planning for you child.
The teachers have been reviewing our curriculum objectives his year. As part of this review we have looked at the ways we are incorporating ‘Literacy’ into our session. Also comparing this to the MOE Literacy review and Te Whaariki, our Early Childhood Curriculum. We thought that we would communicate this through a Literacy Notice Board which will be placed near the puzzle area.
