To all Grace Kindergarten parents and whanau,
The Kindergarten Board of Management has spent many months revising the Philosophy of Grace Kindergarten. This was presented at the Annual General Meeting and is now also available on the website.
We have now begun the review of the curriculum. This is likely to take over a year. It is a substantial piece of work that will involve all of the Grace Kindergarten community. A survey will be undertaken at the beginning of Term 3 to ascertain parent/whanau views on the operation of Grace Kindergarten and in particular how the curriculum is meeting your child’s needs.
The board would encourage every parent/whanau to respond to this survey. We value and need your input.
New Board Member
This term we welcomed Carleen Woolley to the board. Carleen has her youngest daughter, Larissa, in the AM session. Her older daughter is a graduate of Grace Kindergarten. Carleen brings the board to seven. This is fantastic given the current workload we have as we work through reviewing the curriculum.
Fundraising
Thank you to everyone who supported Grace Kindergarten through buying an Entertainment Book. This year over $900 was raised. This will allow us to invest in new equipment.
Fundraising is important to the success of our kindergarten. It allows us to purchase those one-off items that enhance the learning and play environments of the kindergarten.

Annual General Meeting (AGM)
This term we held our first annual general meeting. AGMs are now a requirement of our constitution. The Chairperson’s report is on the Grace Kindergarten website. Thank you to all who attended.
